Ok, Ok, Ok....this is the last wood post. I like sharing pics, what can I say.
Here are some very old African Satinwood a.k.a Avodire boards I picked up from my "source" 2 weeks ago. They are mighty rough looking when I get them but they sure clean up nicely!! Notice the dog ears on the side of the boards from the veneer mill.

It looks great with just ebony as well. The stark contrast of a dark plain binding with a highly figured light colored is striking.
